A Believer is Not Bitten Twice
A believer is not bitten twice
I refuse to put my trust in them
So they never will prey upon me
One day, I left home filled with optimism
Once did I stand for brotherhood and unity
But they thought that I feared being alone
And starved me in their deadly union
A believer is not bitten twice at the same spot.
Before I approached to them,
I had filled my niche with the aura of tranquillity;
They reduced me to rubbles.
Where're my wild animals?
They shooed them away from me.
By their rifles and other heavy weapons.
Where's my fertilized soil?
They burnt it with their aircrafts.
A believer is not bitten twice at the same spot.
I never expected this to happen.
I got up with empty hands
The new day began with shock
And unbelievable gory sight
The sun that had come up in the east with old graves
Set in the west with mass graves of my people.
The smell of death lingered in the air
And more blood drained from unto the land.
A believer is not bitten twice at the same spot.
Will I be conjoined with them again?
Did they forget what they did?
And today, they regret what was lost in the past
And come back in front of me like beggars
Did you come when I stood on my own two feet
With only Allah's help and my own people.
Don't interrupt me as I rush towards my goal.
I am on a unique path to get where I hope to be.
A believer is not bitten twice at the same spot.
He who deceives me once
May Allah deceive him
And if he deceives me twice,
Then have I deceived myself.
